So far I've spent time in London, Paris and now down on the Mediterranean sea, and I have to say, the stache is not well represented out here. I probably only saw 4-5 staches in London, and got a lot of strange looks at my waxed Papa. Paris seemed more ok with my stache, but I was constantly being confused for a Spaniard?

Now down in the South, I've seen quite a few more. None at the beach, but up in the hills, the old men are showing colors. I met a guy today, owner of Henry's Cafe in Vence, who was rockin' a kick-ass handlebar, 6-7 inches wide. I told him I loved his moustache, and he went off on a tirade about it in French. I don't know what he said, but he was shouting and it was really funny.

Best moustache encounter I've had though was outside the Pompoudo Musee in paris, a street vendor, a pakistani man painting people's portraits, came up and declared in broken English, as he twisted his own stache, that I had a "very extra super sexy moustache!"

I've come close to shaving a few times, I'm a bit afraid now of tanning around it and having to keep my stache all summer. Not sure what to do, but I have to at least go back and get a pic with the guy at Henry's cafe. Will try to post it someday!

Moustache May Success!!

It was a whirlwind of participation but Moustache May 2008 has come to a close. "Success" is one word for it but I'd say that doesn't do it full justice.

Many thanks to all involved for such a great job. Looking through the leaderboards shows just how much greatness was put into the site by so many people.

Until 2009.. keep the Moustache Spirit alive.
